    Dr. Steven Shoshany answered:

Cervical spinal stenosis (narrowing of the neck's spinal canal) is caused by bulging spinal discs, which can be a product of aging, poor posture, or injury. CSS causes discomfort or pain by irritating spinal nerves. Some common symptoms of CSS include stiffness, pain or numbness in the neck, back and/or extremities, poor balance and coordination, as well as incontinence.
