    Prepare yourself before you go to the doctor about health habit changes you want to make. Remember, you may only have 10 minutes, or less. Prepare for the visit by doing the following:
    • Write your questions on a piece of paper and take it with you to the office visit.
    • Organize the questions in order of importance. You may not have time to ask them all, so this will ensure that the most important ones are answered.
    • When you call for an appointment, tell the doctor or office staff that you have some specific questions about lifestyle changes.
    • Bring a pen and paper to take notes.
