    The testes are the two male reproductive organs housed in the scrotum. They're responsible for reproduction because they make sperm, but they're also responsible for a man's ability to grow beards, talk in a deep voice, and boast that he can find his way around a new city without a map. That's because (once they get the signal from the pituitary gland), the testes make most of a man's testosterone.
