Before a stye forms, you may notice the ridge of your eyelid becoming become red or sore. It may even be painful and your eye may water. When the stye grows, it usually resembles a pimple and may be yellow or red in color. If your stye grows on the inside of your eyelid, these symptoms may be more severe, and you may also become feverish.
