What are the stages of ovarian cancer?

  1. Stage I ovarian cancer has not spread beyond the ovaries (T1 N0 M0). Stage II cancer may involve organs near the ovaries such as the uterus but has not spread beyond the pelvis (T2 N0 M0). Stage III disease may involve lymph nodes or it may involve the tissue that lines the abdominal cavity, or peritoneum (T3 N0 M0 or T1-T2 N1 M0). Stage IV cancer has spread to distant organs (T1-T3 N0-N1 M1).
