    Stacy Wiegman answered:
Glucose is obtained from foods that contain carbohydrates (carbs) that the digestive system converts into glucose. Excess amounts are stored in the liver and muscles for later use. Dietary sources of glucose include:
    • Simple carbohydrates that include most fruits and dairy products, honey and some vegetables
    • Complex carbohydrates that include whole grain breads, cereals and pasta; starchy vegetables, potatoes, rice, tapioca, legumes (vegetables like beans, peas and lentils) and are excellent fiber sources
