    Of the several benefits of vaginal delivery, one is that your child's gut is colonized by flora that you have in your vagina. A child delivered by C-section doesn't have the honor of traveling through that vault, so he's not exposed to the same bacteria and is often colonized by hospital bacteria. The good news is that you can make it up with breastfeeding, because then he ingests bacteria from around your nipple.
