Through a stress-reducing technique called guided imagery, you may be able to use your imagination to help you cope with depression better. Guided imagery teaches you to create calmness in your mind and body. When used in addition to standard depression treatments, this technique can be a helpful tool for relieving stress and easing depression symptoms. Guided imagery is often taught in hospitals to help patients manage painful and/or stressful treatments.
