What types of equipment would be considered sports specific?
-
National Academy of Sports Medicine answered:Sports specific equipment are pieces of equipment that can be used to help an individual improve specific movement patterns required for a particular sport. The equipment allows you to mimic the movements of the sport you are practicing. For example, a baseball player might use a multi-purpose cable machine to simulate shoulder movements or a batting tee to help with hitting mechanics. Other types of sport specific equipment include hurdles, ballistic ladders (also called agility ladders), agility cones, chutes, and sleds.
