If you have parathyroid cancer, your doctor will probably recommend surgery to remove your parathyroid glands. Depending on how far the cancer has advanced, you may also need radiation treatment to kill any cancer cells that could not be surgically removed. If parathyroid cancer has caused hypercalcemia, you will need medications to regulate the level of calcium in your blood.
