If a patient were diagnosed with a serious disease such as cancer or an infection I would not recommend naturopathy alone. Naturopathy utilizes complementary treatments to help the body to heal. These may include exercise, nutrition, herbal remedies, massage and acupuncture.  Naturopaths rarely use conventional medications.
