How can support groups help women to face early menopause?
-
Boston Women's Health Book Collective answered:Many women going through sudden or early menopause find it helpful to connect with others in the same situation. In a support group, you can talk honestly about what is happening and how you feel. Sharing your experiences with other women you trust helps you feel that you are not alone. Support groups, both online and in person, are constantly developing and evolving. They are often started at the grassroots level by women wanting to make contact with others. Make sure that you look for a group composed of women who are facing menopause at an early age. Attending a group with midlife women may increase your feeling of isolation.
