  1. Dr. Mehmet Oz

    Dr. Mehmet Oz answered:
Taking the below nutrients daily may help men maintain erectile function and may even boost their fertility by increasing sperm mobility and motility.
    • 800 micrograms of folate
    • the recommend daily allotments of B vitamins
    • 3 daily grams of omega-3 fatty acids
    • 15 mg of zinc
    • the recommend daily allotment of vitamin C
To help preserve sexual function, men should consider taking 2 grams of L-arginine, an amino acid found in pumpkin seeds and other foods (below) and 500 mg of L-citrulline twice a day.

It's been rumored that taking these together (I wish the data were stronger than that) increases nitric oxide production by the inner layer of your arteries, increasing blood flow, which can prevent erectile dysfunction and also increase sperm count. Taking these twice a day just might decrease all other forms of arterial aging-heart disease, stroke, memory loss, peripheral vascular disease, and skin wrinkling.

Foods high in these two substances: almonds, cocoa and real chocolate, garbanzo beans, peanuts, salmon, soy, and walnuts.
