When this happens, children may miss certain developmental milestones such as rolling over, sitting up, and walking. Toddlers may have trouble standing up after sitting or lying down, and they may fall often or have a "waddling" gait while walking. Young children also may appear clumsy or uncoordinated, and depending on the type, may have learning or other cognitive disabilities.
