Stacy Wiegman answered:Some serious side effects of ketoconazole tablets, shampoo, foam, gel and cream include: hives, rash, itching, difficulty swallowing or breathing and suicidal thoughts. Other serious side effects of ketoconazole tablets include: unusual fatigue, anorexia, nausea and/or vomiting, jaundice, dark urine or pale stools. You should contact you doctor if you experience any of these side effects. Other less serious reactions are stomach pain and depression. Ketoconazole shampoo may cause hair discoloration, changes in hair texture or hair loss.
