Weight loss is a side effect of taking thyroid replacement hormones. It is possible that you are on too low of a dose.  Hair loss is a side effect of not having enough thyroid hormone.  Sometimes it is difficult to find just the right dose of hormone; there are many strengths.  Let your doctor know what is going on because maybe your thyroid level needs to be checked.
