Namenda can alter your ability to stay awake and alert. It is best to avoid activities that require you to be alert, such as driving a car and operating machinery, for the first few couple of weeks of using Namenda. Once you know the effect that Namenda has on your alertness, you can resume activities that can be safely executed. It is also advised to avoid smoking cigarettes. The use of cigarettes may reduce the effectiveness of Namenda. Even if you begin to feel better, do not stop taking Namenda without first consulting your doctor. Abruptly discontinuing the use of Namenda may result in complications.
