    Meals high in saturated fat–that's one of the bad fats–produce lower levels of leptin (the hormone that promotes a feeling of fullness) than low-fat meals with the exact same calories. Saturated fat also makes you less sensitive to cholecystokinin (CCK), a peptide that tells your brain that your stomach feels full.

    That means you can increase your satiety and decrease hunger levels by avoiding saturated fats found in such sources as high-fat meats (like sausage), baked goods, and whole-milk dairy products.
