How does Ryzolt interact with other medications or food?

Ryzolt may have a negative interaction with a long list of prescription and nonprescription medications and supplements. Before taking Ryzolt, tell your doctor about all other drugs and supplements you take, including medications for anxiety, mental illness, seizures, nausea and pain; any sedatives, tranquilizers or sleeping pills; any antifungal medications, such as Nizoral (ketoconazole), Lanoxin (digoxin) or erythromycin; monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, such as Marplan (isocarboxazid), Nardil (phenelzine), Eldepryl, Emsam or Zelapar (selegiline) and Parnate (tranylcypromine); muscle relaxants, such as Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine), Phenergan (promethazine), quinidine; Rifadin, Rifamate or Rimactane (rifampin); selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), such as Celexa (citalopram), Prozac (fluoxetine), Luvox (fluvoxamine), Paxil (paroxetine) or Zoloft (sertraline); tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline, Adendin (amoxapine), Anafranil (clomipramine), Norpramin (desipramine), Adapin or Sinequan (doxepin), Tofranil (imipramine), Aventyl or Pamelor (nortriptyline), Vivactil (protriptyline) or Surmontil (trimipramine) and Coumadin (warfarin).

Some of these drugs and others may be still needed while you take Ryzolt, but your doctor may need to change your dosage and watch carefully for side effects. Tell your doctor if you take the herbal supplement St. John's Wort. Discuss alcohol with your doctor, as it may make the side effects of Ryzolt worse.
