Like any medication, there are some risks associated with taking aspirin low-dose, especially on a daily basis. Most side effects are not serious, although in some cases severe internal bleeding can occur. Long-term use of aspirin low-dose may lead to stomach bleeding, and aggravate existing medical conditions like stomach ulcers. Aspirin low-dose should not be taken if you have a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia. Aspirin low-dose should also not be given to children with a fever because of the risk for fatal complications. Before beginning daily aspirin low-dose therapy, you should carefully discuss your medical history with your doctor to determine if this treatment is right for you.
