Taking magnesium gluconate involves certain risks. Let your doctor know in case you are allergic to magnesium gluconate or any other drugs. You should also clarify if you have heart, kidney or intestinal diseases; stomach problems; and are pregnant, nursing or planning to conceive. In addition, let the doctor know if you are on a prescription or OTC drug that contains tetracycline, vitamins or magnesium.
