  1. People with certain allergies, including respiratory allergies, do have a higher risk of developing other medical conditions. Since asthma can often have the same triggers as respiratory allergies, people with allergies may be more at risk for developing asthma. Also, having one type of allergy can increase your chances of developing another type of allergy. Allergies may put you at risk for other conditions as well, including eczema, sinusitis, or other infections. Talk to your doctor to discuss any changes in your health that worry you.
