Is palliative care an option with cervical cancer?

Regrettably, some cancers cannot be cured. If cervical cancer has progressed to the most advanced stages and spread to other organs of the body, there may no longer be treatment to prolong life. Palliative care is available to keep someone with advanced cervical cancer comfortable and help to ease the pain and maintain some positive quality of life. Sometime surgeries or even chemo or radiation may continue in an effort to control the ongoing symptoms of cervical cancer.
