Who should not take aspirin low-dose?

Some people are not candidates for taking daily aspirin low-dose. This is because aspirin works by reducing the formation of blood clots and can lead to dangerous bleeding in the stomach and brain. You should not take aspirin low-dose if you have a history of stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood clotting disorders, liver or kidney disease or uncontrolled high blood pressure. You should also not take aspirin low-dose if you are at risk for a hemorrhagic stroke or are already taking prescription blood thinners, as aspirin can intensify the thinner's effectiveness and lead to bleeding.
