Until you find the right mate, you're bound to be involved in a series of relationships that eventually don't work out. This has nothing to do with multiple sclerosis (MS); it has everything to do with the mating process, which can be frightening for anyone. Think about it: You go out to see if you like the other person (and if the other person likes you) well enough to continue. If you tell everyone you date that you have MS, it can become too easy to blame any failures on the disease. When you remove MS from this process, you'll be forced to look at who you are. Are you an interesting date? Are you a good listener? Can you keep up with the conversation? Does your date find you sexually attractive? If you've lost your perspective on such factors, take a good look at your relationships before your diagnosis. Were they better? Don't give yourself a built-in excuse for why they're not working now. Are you still angry about your MS diagnosis? Your anger, not your MS, is going to make you less appealing to a partner.
