How do medications treat electrical burns?

Dr. Stuart Linder answered:Antibiotic creams include Silvadene and Sulfamylon may help to reduce the bacterial count and promote healing including granulation tissue and re-epithelialization. The wounds must first be debrided of dead tissue and skin (escharotomy) and then dressing changed twice a day with antibiotic creams or solutions until clean enough and with healthy bleeding tissue to support and skin graft.
