If your child starts showing signs of dehydration, oral rehydration therapy may be needed. Some of these signs include:

    • dry diapers for three or more hours
    • little to no tears when he cries
    • dry mouth or tongue
    • sunken eyes, cheeks, stomach or soft spot on head

Give your child more fluids while giving oral rehydration solution. Check with your child's doctor if you are uncertain your child is dehydrated.
