    Stacy Wiegman answered:
Remicade (infliximab) suppresses your immune system and increases your risk of infection. Tell your doctor if you are prone to infections or have recurring infections, even something minor like cold sores. Also, let your doctor know if you have a chronic illness, like diabetes, or are undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. If your immune system is compromised ask your doctor about your risks of developing an infection while on Remicade.
