    There are many nail diseases. Some can be cured, but unfortunately some are chronic and can never be made to be normal. Moisturizing your nails with hand moisturizer, eating well (sometimes including taking biotin 2.5 mg a day), and treating your nails well (avoid scraping the cuticles or biting them) are good tips to keep your nails healthy. See your dermatologist if you have any concerns as some nail problems are signs of other diseases that can be treated.
