    Stacy Wiegman answered:
While your husband is taking Viagra, he should avoid drinking alcohol. Using alcohol while on Viagra may increase several side effects of the drug like dizziness. He should also avoid certain recreational drugs such as amyl nitrate or nitrite (sometimes known as "poppers"). Using one of these nitrate drugs while taking Viagra can cause a serious drop in blood pressure, that could cause him to faint or even have a stroke or heart attack.
