I assume from your question that Neurontin is not controlling your pain effectively. The success regarding the new medications approved to treat FM has been underwhelming.

It can be. If proper diet, exercise have been tried but still pain is affecting sleep then Neurontin can help with the burning neuropathic pain allowing for rest. If sleep cycles become very disrupted then depression and anxiety can complicate the management and mood stabilizers can be added. Often once sleep is improved then further focused exercise such as yoga can be a way of managing this chronic condition.
