Endentulism is usually not very serious if it is treated with dentures or dental implants. Without dentures or dental implants, many people are not able to eat certain foods and become malnourished because of a lack of nutrients. Causes of endentulism like cavities and periodontal disease can be very serious when they result in infections or poor health.
