    Aurora Health Care answered:
During a paracentesis (a procedure in which fluid is taken from the abdominal cavity to be examined) your blood pressure, pulse, and respiration will be taken. You will also be monitored for other symptoms. If at any time you feel faint, cold, have trouble breathing, or have abdominal pain, let your doctor know.
