You may prefer to wear your bathing suit to aquatic exercise class to avoid changing upon arrival. Pool shoes will protect your feet, improve stability, and help you to avoid slipping when walking on the pool deck. Your first aquatic class may last about 15 minutes, and should be taught by a qualified instructor. If the class is longer, stop when you are tired. Over time, your strength and endurance will improve. Perform exercises at a normal rate of speed, regardless of how good you feel or how simple the exercise may seem. Exercise in your comfort zone and don't worry about keeping up with anyone else.
