Mix half regular pasta and half the whole-wheat variety for a while, and gradually switch to whole wheat entirely. Try different brands of whole-wheat pasta, too, because they don’t all taste the same. While whole-wheat pasta is an acquired taste, if you never acquire a taste for it, don’t worry. If you limit yourself to the one cup maximum, you’re still ahead of the game.
