Testicular cancer and its treatment may have a negative impact on your quality of life. Treatments such as chemotherapy may cause disruptive side effects, such as fatigue, hair loss, nausea, and vomiting. The cancer or radiation therapy (a common treatment for some testicular cancers) may cause temporary or permanent infertility, so if you intend to have children in the future, you may want to talk to your doctor about freezing sperm for artificial insemination. Surgery to remove abdominal lymph nodes (recommended for cancer that has spread to that area) may make ejaculation difficult.
