    Sleep apnea can be treated and/or managed in a variety of ways. The most effective way to treat sleep apnea is to remove the obstruction that is causing the apnea. Therefore, in healthy children, the first treatment is to remove the tonsils and adenoids, known as a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
