Stacy Wiegman answered:Thyroid (Armour Thyroid) comes in a tablet and should be taken once a day, preferably at the same time each day. It's best to take it before breakfast.
Also follow these precautions: If you take iron-containing medicines or supplements, antacids, a drug called sucralfate, or simethicone, take your thyroid medicine four hours before or four hours after you take these other medicines. Two other drugs you need to be concerned about while taking thyroid are cholestyramine (Questran) and colestipol (Colestid). These drugs must be taken at least four hours before you take thyroid.
