It makes sense that if you create a holistic treatment plan for depression and help your bipolar partner to end the symptoms of depression, your sex life can get much better. It's normal if you worry about your own sexual attractiveness. You can work on these feelings by remembering that bipolar disorder has specific symptoms and one of these symptoms is depression, which often causes a lack of sexual desire. Your partner's behavior when depressed is about the illness and not about you.

It often happens that when their sex drive is practically nonexistent because of depression, your partner may just need a little encouragement to start feeling sexual again. If you set time apart from your ordinary tasks for nurturing intimacy, and you slowly start touching each other, you may be able to stoke the fire that is just burning low.
