How does radiation fibrosis affect the body?
-
Radiation fibrosis is an effect on the body, in and of itself. It is the scarring of the lungs, breasts, or other tissue that is a result of continued inflammation from radiation exposure. Radiation fibrosis can reduce range of motion and cause wounds to heal poorly. Fibrosis of the lungs can also bring with it difficulty breathing and a high temperature.
