How does psoriatic arthritis affect the body?
-
Psoriatic arthritis causes periods of pain and stiffness in the joints, which can limit mobility. The condition is not continuous. Instead, patients experience recovery periods in which they have no joint inflammation, and other periods when their symptoms resurface. In mild cases, only a small number of joints may become inflamed. For other patients, multiple joints and even the spine can be affected.
