Post-concussion syndrome is a complex disorder in which symptoms such as headaches and dizziness last for weeks and sometimes months after the injury. There is no specific treatment for post-concussion syndrome, but the doctor will tailor treatment to the individual symptoms the patient is experiencing. The type of symptoms and their frequency are unique to each person who has suffered a concussion. Common treatments will be aimed at headaches, memory and thinking, and also depression and anxiety. Treatment is managed through medication or some form of therapy.
