    Much of what any good doctor needs to accurately diagnose and treat neck and lower back pain is easily obtained through a careful history of the onset of the problem, the pain's characteristics, the patient's reflexes and sensitivity to pinprick, and a few simple pushing, pulling, or stretching tests.
