The prevalence of perceived sexual problems in MS ranges from 40 to 80 percent in women and 50 to 90 percent in men. A decrease or loss of sex drive, decreased or unpleasant genital sensations, and diminished capacity for orgasm may occur. Men may experience difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection and a decrease in or loss of ejaculatory force or frequency.
