You can minimize side effects of Incivek (telaprevir) by taking it exactly as your doctor tells you to and by answering all the questions he asks about any medical conditions you might have. Because certain medications can interact with Incivek and increase the risk of side effects or worsen them, you can also help keep them to a minimum by telling your doctor about any other medications, over-the-counter drugs and supplements you take. He can tell you which to stop taking in order to avoid side effects from Incivek or find alternatives to any medications that you must take.

If you have a side effect that bothers you or doesn't go away, or a serious reaction, such as dizziness or a rash accompanied by fever, tell your doctor right away (but don't stop taking Incivek without talking to him first).
