While the American Heart Association (AHA) advises adults to eat no more than three to four egg yolks a week, there are no formal recommendations for children. If your child or teen likes eggs, go ahead and let them eat them. Just be sure to prepare the eggs in healthy ways, such as boiled, scrambled with lean ham, or in omelets with low-fat cheese. Keep in mind that AHA does not advise any restrictions on egg whites. In recipes, you can substitute two egg whites for one large egg.
