The calories in vegetables vary from vegetable to vegetable. Some have more calories than others but generally as a group they are low in calories. Non-starchy vegetables like greens, radishes, broccoli, tomatoes, and cauliflower are very low in calories. They contain about 25 calories a serving. A serving is 1/2 cup cooked or 1 cup raw. Starchy vegetables like acorn squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and corn are higher in calories and have about 80 calories per serving.
