    In almost every ancient culture; the Babylonian, the Egyptian, the Roman, Greek and even present in ancient Chinese texts are references to one single food that was considered to be the ambrosia of the gods while also containing the secret fountain of youth.  This food was even believed to be the key to health, healing and longevity.  This ancient fast food is bee pollen.  Bee pollen has been shown to restore physical reserves of energy, increase mental alertness as well as help to eliminate moments of memory loss and/or confusion.  Bee pollen is also known to contain nature's perfect combination of both male and female hormones and so in turn, when taken as a daily supplement, helps to stabilize those same physiological levels as we age. As well, some research reports also indicate that bee pollen can correct body metabolic imbalances while stimulating metabolism, speeding calorie burning and reducing cravings.  As if that all weren't quite enough, bee pollen is also believed to be an appetite suppressant while the lecithin inherent is said to help dissolve and flush fat and fatty deposits from the system.  Begin by taking a few granules of fresh bee pollen each day and if no allergic reaction develops than gradually work your way up to a heaping teaspoon on your way to one full tablespoon.  A heaping, healthy spoonful of youth.

    The easiest way to look five years younger is from the inside out.  Our Chef Clinic experience has shown a less bloated, less red-eye, cleaner skin personal appearance after approximately 5 days of changing your diet and deliberately getting higher quality sleep.  Topical products can moisturize the skin, but expensive potions are unnecessary.

    The keys are restricting your diet: discontinuing caffeine, alcohol, and high glycemic index foods and trans fat heavy foods(especially pastries, breads, and pasta), and foods with artificial chemical additives.  And increasing foods rich in omega-3s such as cold water fish (salmon, tuna, herring, mackerel) and walnuts, and olive oil. Adequate protein at breakfast (eggs, nuts, legumes), several servings of whole (not processed) vegetables, and whole fruit (with the skin) daily also appear important.

    I am in agreement with the other professionals that diet, exercise, and sleep are critical, but what about our mental health? I have seen dramatic improvements in the way my clients look and feel by gaining a stronger sense of self, confidence, and living their life authentically. We often feel tired and overwhelmed because we are not connecting with ourselves or others in a meaningful way. It is important to focus on the whole self!
