What can I do if Aspergillosis remains after taking sporanox for 7 months?
-
MediGuard answered:Aspergillosis is a fungal infection caused by aspergillius, which is a fungus commonly found in decaying vegetation. Sporanox is used for the treatment of aspergillius. The suggested dose for Sporanox is 200-400mg daily for 3 months. At that point, the treatment should be evaluated to see if the infection is gone. If you are still having symptoms after 7 months, please see your doctor about possibly changing medications because it is possible the aspergillosis is resistant to Sporanox.
