Dr. De Vizio of Colgate answered:
Indirect dental bonding takes at least two visits to the dentist to complete. At the first appointment, your dentist will take a mold of your damaged tooth. This mold is sent to a lab. The lab creates a filling or inlay (a type of large filling). At a second appointment, your dentist will bond the filling or inlay to your tooth using a special type of cement.
